Children and young people are very important in the life of our church and we have many activities to enable them to grow more confidently in their relationship with God, their relationship with others and their role in their community.
There are groups for all ages including “Sprouts” on a Sunday morning, meeting in conjunction with our Sunday service, our Preschool “stay and play” called “Sparklers” on a Wednesday morning and Rainbows, Brownies and Guides who meet on a Wednesday and Friday evening.
We also have a youth worker who has various roles around the church and community. Please click on the links to read more.
For additional Youth activities such as Holiday clubs - please check the special Events page of this web site which is under "What's On".
Hinckley URC has been given a "Child Friendly Church Award (CFCA).  This scheme has been developed to help churches give children the best possible experience of church, and acts as a tool to help churches evaluate their children’s and youth work. It is a self assessment scheme which is designed to celebrate and support a Church’s journey to being Child Friendly. CFCA Advisers work alongside the church and guide them towards the final award which is presented for a 3 year period.
All of our leaders and helpers have satisfied the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) regarding safeguarding.
